Promise is a 2-year-old female hound, medium in size, located in Hampton, VA. She is healthy and has no special needs. This loving girl gets along well with other dogs and is ready to bring joy into your life.

About Promise

Promise came to us through our friends at SWAG, who were overwhelmed with lost and abandoned dogs. This situation reflects the struggles faced by overcrowded, underfunded rural shelters where the number of dogs far exceeds the available space. However, when the community rallies, even the toughest situations can have brighter outcomes. At just 2 years old, Promise is a hound who seems handcrafted from ice cream, butterflies, and soft blankets. She's gentle, silly, and curious, with an unmistakable fondness for other dogs. With humans, Promise has progressed from simply observing to confidently leaning against you and gazing deeply into your eyes—a wonderful sign of her growing trust. She's learning to embrace affection and is determined to make the most of her fresh start. Promise enjoys the company of dogs and is gradually opening up to people with a bit more courageous curiosity. This bright little soul is ready for her forever home. Come meet Promise at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA. They're open daily from 9 AM to noon, including weekends and holidays. Together, we can help her find the happily ever after she deserves!
