About Brutus
Brutus isn’t your average pooch; he’s a fantastic family dog looking to find his forever home. At 11 months old, this male German Shepherd/Labrador/Cattle Dog mix is a delightful medium-sized boy weighing around 45-50 pounds, and he’s all set at his full-grown size. Sadly, he had to leave his previous family due to circumstances beyond their control, but they invested a lot of love and training into him, and it shows. With a playful spirit, Brutus still carries a bit of puppy energy. He’s well-trained, responsive, and picks up commands like sitting, lying down, and walking on a leash with ease. While he has lived with a senior dog and been great with kids over 5, he also requires a respectful environment, particularly around younger children. Brutus is house and crate trained, exuding excellent house manners. His perfect home would include a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. He’s playful with toys—squeaky, stuffed, or rubber—and relishes his fillable and frozen Kong treats. Brutus is ready for some structure and guidance as he transitions into adulthood, but he’s not a fixer-upper. He just needs a little nudge to stay on the right path. If Brutus seems like the right fit for your family, don’t hesitate to apply!
