About Margot

Meet Margot. Margot is a 1.5-year-old Rat Terrier mix, and she's about 15% dog and 85% emotional attachment. This little darling arrived at the shelter with her last pup, still navigating her own youthful journey. New situations? She's a bit suspicious. Strangers? Give her a moment—32 seconds should do it. But once Margot selects you as her person, prepare for a relationship that includes not a moment alone—she's all in, all the time. Margot thrives in a home where someone is often around, as being left to entertain herself while you go about your life feels downright selfish to her! She's okay with other dogs too, but only if they respect personal boundaries. Imagine a big dog barreling into her space? Not happening! Margot prefers canine companions who can read a room and provide her with a little space if she needs it. Fully house trained and crate trained, she's also taken on the role of your personal advisor, happily voicing her opinions on everything you do. If you step out without her, expect some whining. Dinner running late? Whine. Your arm getting tired from petting? No chance; she’ll demand more. Margot has opinions and isn’t afraid to share them. In essence, Margot is looking for a deeply loving relationship with someone who’s okay with minimal personal space and a persistent shadow. She's shy, clingy, and a tad judgmental—but she’s perfect for the right person. Adoption fee is $350. Ready for a loving new best friend? Apply to adopt!
