About Newton
Newton came into rescue as a puppy and, after a stint with a previous adopter, finds himself back and looking for stability. This small mixed-breed guy (Mountain Cur, Australian Cattle Dog, and Rat Terrier) is about a year old, short-coated, neutered, around 20 lbs, and has the playful, driven energy you'd expect from his mix. He's sharp, attentive, and happiest when engaged—in the yard, on the trail, or just trotting beside you around the neighborhood. Newton excels at agility-type challenges, quick to learn and always keen to show off his smarts. Newton's still young and full of personality, which includes wanting his person and his toys all to himself. He can be possessive and needs a family ready to give clear leadership, set boundaries, and offer structure. Responding well to commands, he's house and crate trained, great on a leash, and knows sit, down, shake, drop it, and stay. Newton does not get along with other dogs or with children, but does get along with cats. Born May 19, Newton is a Taurus: loyal, steady, and sometimes a bit stubborn. Vaccinations are up to date, microchipped, and ready for his next chapter in Cincinnati, OH. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
