About Kuro

Meet Kuro, a handsome black Chow Chow around 4–5 years old, and one of the sweetest boys you'll ever encounter. Kuro was found wandering alone and brought to the Bedford County Open Intake Shelter in Virginia. Unfortunately, no one came looking for him, likely because of his neglected condition. His beautiful, long coat was completely matted and overgrown, needing extensive care. Despite his hardships, Kuro remained calm and reserved in his kennel. Once he got outside, his true personality bloomed. He became interactive and happy, clearly enjoying the time spent with people. After a much-needed grooming, the transformation was stunning—he became a gentleman among the dogs he met. Kuro is incredibly chill, sweet, and respectful, endearing himself to everyone he meets. With an affectionate soul, he seems grateful for every kindness. He needs someone special who will appreciate the loving companion he is, allowing him to experience the care he deserves after everything he's endured. Kuro is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and house trained. He’s also good with dogs, showing his friendly nature. Kuro has waited long enough for his happily ever after.
