Chester, a sweet Miniature Schnauzer, is about 10 years old and currently weighs 16 pounds. He has had a tough journey; his previous owners passed away, and he spent several months with minimal care before arriving at the rescue. Fortunately, all his medical issues have been resolved, and Chester is now a healthy, happy little guy. He thrives in a loving foster home and has a big heart full of affection to give. Chester does well with other dogs, though he takes his time warming up to larger ones. Cats, however, are a no-go; Chester has an instinctive chase drive and shouldn’t be in a home with them. His crate training is impeccable—he never makes a mess and prefers keeping the potty pads out of his space, so those will go home with him. Leash walks are a delight for Chester, and he is well-behaved during car rides, also friendly with strangers. Due to his significant hearing loss, a secure yard or regular leash walks will be necessary for his safety.
