About Izzy
Meet Izzy. She landed at Castoff as a young mom with seven puppies and has been waiting since May 2023 for the right person to come along. Her pups have moved on, but Izzy’s still searching for a couch and a person to call her own. As an American Foxhound mix, she brings the full hound experience—an endlessly curious nose, a wagging tail, and a mind that thrives on challenge. Izzy may seem reserved at first, but she’s quick to warm up when treats are on offer and will work her big brown eyes every chance she gets. Thanks to training with the Colwell Rescue Program, she knows “sit,” responds to “no,” and is totally housebroken. She clicks best with male dogs after introductions, but cats and chickens are off-limits for her—she views them as fair game. Izzy needs an active, hound-savvy home with a tall fence (her sniffer is relentless), and someone patient who understands how rewarding it is to win over a shy, loyal dog. She’s playful, smart, and brimming with loyalty once she lets her guard down. Born June 21, Izzy’s a Cancer—a sign known for devotion and affection. Ready to meet the girl whose big heart just wants a chance? Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
