Meet Auggie, a charming Shih Tzu in search of a second chance. This sweet boy, around 7 years old, found himself needing a new home after his owner sadly passed away. Thankfully, a caring family friend took him in and reached out to our rescue to help find Auggie a loving forever home. Auggie is house trained, healthy, and eager to settle into his new life. He relishes spending time with his people and will make a delightful companion for the right family. While Auggie gets along well with the resident female dog in his foster home, he can be somewhat selective about his canine friends, and may be best suited as the only dog or with a compatible female after proper introductions. He also prefers older children who can respect his space and understand that sometimes this little guy just wants to relax. Having lost his first home, Auggie deserves a family that will provide the security, patience, and love he needs to feel at home again.
