Meet Monica. Monica is about 8 years old and has had a challenging past. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation, she didn't experience the life a dog deserves. Instead of playing and exploring, she was confined and just surviving. Now, she’s learning what freedom and safety feel like. Because of her history, Monica needs a special adopter—someone who can be patient and let her set the pace. She is still discovering how to trust and what it means to be loved. This isn't a dog who will adapt overnight; her journey will be profound for the right person willing to help her heal. A secure fence is essential to keep her safe, as she can be a flight risk. Ideally, she should be the only dog in the home to help her decompress and build confidence without added pressure. Monica is heartworm positive, but the rescue will cover all treatment costs. She has a lot to learn, and she deserves a loving home that will offer her the kindness and understanding she craves. If your home is calm and secure, and you’re looking for a loving companion who needs a bit more care, Monica may just be the perfect match for you. All dogs come fully vetted, which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption. Adoption fee is $250. The right journey awaits you and Monica!
