Meet Smiley. Smiley is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound Great Pyrenees mix with a gentle spirit and a unique heartwarming story. After spending the first part of her life on the streets with her five siblings, she found safety when we intervened to rescue them from a dire situation. Shortly after arriving at the rescue, we learned Smiley was pregnant. She lovingly raised her puppies, all of whom have since found their forever homes. Now it’s time for Smiley to find hers. With a calm demeanor, she embodies sweetness and gentleness. Smiley adores belly rubs, stuffed toys, or simply sinking into long naps on the couch after exploring the outdoors. Her medium energy level makes her the perfect companion for both relaxation and adventure. Though she can be timid due to her past, Smiley is not aggressive. If feeling uneasy, she prefers to walk away. Once she knows you’re trustworthy, her affectionate nature comes through, and she forms deep connections. Smiley has a warm heart and appreciates families that offer gentle patience, especially kids who understand to let her warm up at her own pace. While she gets along well with dogs of all sizes, she hasn't been tested with cats yet. Those who know Smiley often describe her as incredibly loyal and kind. She's not the type to rush up to greet new people; instead, she observes quietly, learns to trust, and eventually loves wholeheartedly.
