About Skippy
Skippy is a charming little dog who exudes sweetness and a gentle spirit. This 1.5-year-old Long-Haired Chihuahua mix weighs just 11 pounds and boasts a soft beige-and-white coat and adorable crimped ears. He came to us as a stray, and though he was initially a bit skittish, he quickly began to warm up once he felt safe in his foster home. Slow, gentle introductions work best for him; with a little patience and maybe a treat or two, you’ll find a loyal friend. Once he settles in, Skippy enjoys exploring yards, cuddling on the couch, and being close to his loved ones. He is house-trained and making strides with crate training. Currently, he sleeps soundly in his crate each night but is still learning to feel secure when left alone. Progress is being made; he simply needs a gentle hand to guide him. Skippy gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, though he thrives in a calm environment with older, gentle kids. A kind, confident dog near his size could really help him appreciate that the world is a safe place. Skippy’s sweet, trusting nature is a hidden gem waiting to shine in a forever family that will cherish him. He is up to date on vaccinations and will be neutered soon, but that won't delay his adoption process. This little doll is ready to meet his new family. Click apply to start the adoption process.
