About Brodie
Brodie is a pure-bred split face Border Collie with a striking tricolor coat and big brown eyes that are hard to resist. Estimated to be around 4-5 years old and weighing 45 lbs, he is both loving and affectionate. His previous life was uncertain, but after being found as a stray and receiving treatment for heartworm, he is now healthy and ready for a fresh start in a loving forever home. This sweet boy has a personality that truly shines. Brodie has learned to navigate household life, gaining confidence along the way. He is now housetrained, uses a dog door, and knows basic commands like sit and down. While he may have been shy at first, he warms up to new visitors with some reassurance. He enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly his foster family's Border Collie, but prefers spending time with his humans. Brodie loves to be active; he’s ready for a long hike or simply lounging by your feet. He does have a fear of thunderstorms, seeking comfort when they strike. His ideal home would include someone calm, gentle, and perhaps another non-aggressive dog to help him feel secure. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, as he continues to build his confidence through positive reinforcement. You won't regret the bond that will develop with this loyal companion!
