About Chester

Chester is a sweet soul who is only about a year old. We believe he’s a mix of Doberman and maybe some German Wirehaired Pointer, with a charming chocolate-brown coat. Currently at Animal Control, Chester can be a bit shy at first, hanging back as he sizes up new people. But once you kneel down and call him, he’ll eagerly come to you, leaning into your lap as if he’s known you for ages. This gentle giant is not just friendly with humans; he gets along great with dogs and cats, and he’s fantastic with kids too. It's heartbreaking to think he's behind a kennel door when he should be curled up comfortably on a couch. Chester has so much life ahead of him, and we want to help him find that forever home. He can come into Rover's Do Over, but we need a foster home first. By fostering Chester, you’d not only provide him a safe landing spot but also help us get to know him better so we can find him the perfect family. And if you fall in love, fostering could lead to adoption. Chester deserves a loving home where he can thrive. Ready to open your heart? Click apply to start the adoption process.
