Winston is a sweet fellow searching for a loving home where he can truly thrive. He came to us as part of a neglect case and was nearly starved. After several months in foster care, this affectionate guy has gained weight and is ready for adoption. Winston craves attention and can be clingy to those he trusts. He previously lived with both dogs and cats and currently shares his foster home with them. Although he gets along with both, his social skills may need some polishing due to his past experiences. He tends to resource guard, particularly food and attention, but we believe his behavior will improve as he continues to heal. A family with knowledge of dog behavior will be essential to help Winston adjust to his new home. Despite his challenges, Winston is a charming boy full of love to give. He enjoys chasing balls in the backyard, wrestling with his doggy siblings, and getting full-body back scratches. He has quickly learned to use a dog door and walks well on a leash.
