Savannah is a 5.5-year-old spayed female Retriever/Shepherd mix with a stunning all-white medium coat and a smile that lights up any room. Weighing in at around 90 pounds, she's a big girl with an even bigger heart. She came to us from a local shelter where she spent an exhausting nine months waiting for her forever home. Despite being a staff favorite, Savannah kept getting overlooked, so they decided a change in scenery might help her find the family she truly deserves. Savannah is a true people-lover and a giant cuddle bug. Her ideal days consist of snuggling, going for car rides, and long walks. Since she’s strong, a harness is suggested along with an owner who can handle her pulling on the leash and is committed to further training. When it comes to other pets, Savannah tends to favor smaller dogs but has also gotten along well with some larger ones as well as cats. A meet and greet with existing pets is always necessary. She has experience with children of all ages, but due to her size and strength, a home with older kids is preferable. After waiting so long in a shelter, Savannah deserves adventures—not just kennel time. She's ready for car rides, long walks, and cozy nights on the couch with her new family.
