About Miles

Meet Miles! This charming little survivor has a giant, goofy smile and is looking for his forever family. At 4 years old and weighing 22 lbs, Miles is a Dachshund/Terrier mix who hails from Houston, TX. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation with about 80 other dogs, his journey to happiness has been tough, but each day he shines with resilience. Miles can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his loyal spirit emerges. He quickly transforms into a devoted companion, always eager to be by your side. Having never owned toys before, he is now happily obsessed with plushies, especially the ones he can carry around—a giant rainbow toy is one of his favorites. You’ll rarely see him without a toy he treasures. Social and playful, Miles enjoys chasing games with his dog friends and would thrive in a home with a canine sibling. Health-wise, he has bravely tackled heartworm treatment and is recovering well from minor hair loss on his back legs. If you're seeking an affectionate, toy-loving companion who is ready to explore the world with you, Miles is your boy! Ready to make him a part of your family?
