Meet Rooney! He’s a sweet, reserved dog in search of a forever home. Rooney may take some time to warm up to new people, but once you earn his trust, he will happily curl up beside you on the couch or keep you company while you work. Adopters should be ready to go at his pace and eager to discover his unique personality as he settles in. Rooney might do well with another dog, especially if introductions are slow and carefully managed. He would benefit from complete separation initially and a playmate who enjoys a more exuberant play style. We aren't sure about his history with cats, but starting with slow introductions and giving him space would be wise. Although we don’t know if Rooney has ever lived with kids, he is likely to thrive in a home with older children who understand his need for space while he adjusts.
