Despite being born deaf, Maya embraces life with enthusiasm. Initially a bit shy in bustling environments like dog parks, she blossoms once she feels secure and loves to romp around with her dog friends. Maya is incredibly attentive to her humans and knows basic hand signals for sit, come, and no. She's eager to learn if you have something new to teach her. She enjoys walks and hiking, doing particularly well off-leash. You'll find her checking in frequently, making sure she's not straying too far from your side. Though quieter than most huskies, she's not shy about barking and singing when she wants your attention. This affectionate girl adores giving kisses and enjoys snuggling, but she also loves her independence, often napping on the coolest floor spots. Completely house trained, she respects her toys and needs a little space. Crating doesn’t suit her, so puppy gates can help offer her free range. Maya is not good with cats, as she tends to want to play without understanding their signals. A home without felines, preferably with another dog for companionship, would be ideal. She needs an active lifestyle filled with walks and patience for her special quirks. Maya is a loving companion ready to bring joy to the right home.
