About Redford
Meet Redford! At about a year old and 39 pounds, Redford is the ideal size—not too big or too small. This handsome mixed-breed boy came to Canine Collective from a rural Ohio shelter, where he spent a lot of his youth waiting for a forever home. Now that he’s exploring the world, we’re uncovering just how delightful he truly is. Redford is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves attention, happily sits for pets, and is always ready to give kisses. He’s even known to wrap his front legs around his favorite people for a classic Redford hug! Our volunteers have spent time with him and consistently comment on what a sweetheart he is. When Redford first arrived, some common sights and sounds were new to him. He needed a little help getting into a car and hesitated about entering a crate, but he settled down nicely once inside. He’s learning quickly! Redford recently attended a lively adoption event, filled with people, dogs, and lots of activity, and he handled it all fabulously. He explored cheerfully with a volunteer, taking everything in stride. This boy has a love for toys! He found a favorite at the event and carried it around proudly as he checked out his surroundings. Sightseeing is even better with a toy in tow. Redford also does well around other dogs and would likely appreciate having a playful companion. He’s young and energetic, so he’ll benefit from some leash training to polish his manners. Most importantly, he has a gentle, easygoing spirit. He’s affectionate, cooperative, and willing to try new things with a little encouragement. Every new experience helps bring out more of his happy and playful personality.
