About Debbie
Debbie is a charming puppy currently in a foster home, eager to find her forever family. You can meet her at our upcoming adoption event on Saturday, September 5th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at PetSmart in Mount Prospect (101 E. Euclid Ave.). Applications can be submitted through our website or by emailing dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org. Debbie traveled here from rural Alabama with her mother, Dixie, and her siblings. Her foster mom fell for her instantly when Debbie climbed into her arms, saying, \"I'll take her!\" This little black bundle of joy is already making progress with housebreaking and loves to play with toys. She's quiet in her crate and is friendly with everyone she meets. Being a young pup, she’s still grasping the basics like which items are acceptable to chew and the purpose of a leash. Enrolling her in puppy classes will be beneficial, fostering good behaviors while rewarding you with years of loyalty and affection. Debbie is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations; keep in mind she will need a rabies shot at four months and a heartworm test between six and seven months at her future vet. Prepare for some training and housebreaking, as she grows, and enjoy the rewards of puppy companionship. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
