Initially shy, Dahlia will thrive in a patient home that allows her a few days to feel safe. In her foster home, she blossomed after just three days and revealed her affectionate side. Dahlia will thrive with a securely fenced yard and should be leashed during outdoor adventures until she feels at ease. Another confident and playful dog in her forever home would help her build confidence and feel secure. She gets along well with other dogs and has a playful spirit—enjoying toys and basking in the sun. Dahlia is already potty trained and has had no accidents in her foster home, making her an ideal companion. This gentle girl takes treats softly with no resource guarding observed, and she is also good with cats! While she hasn't been around children, Dahlia would likely do well with them given proper introductions.
