About Elsie

Elsie is a stunning Great Pyrenees and Great Dane mix, around 3 years old, who longs for stability and patience in her new home. Recently rehomed due to her owner’s health issues, she has had a rough time with several homes in just a month, leaving her understandably shy and wary of new people. To help her rebuild trust, Elsie needs a family that recognizes that developing a bond takes time. As she learns her routine and acclimates to her new environment, her sweetness is sure to emerge. Although Elsie is still awaiting some final vaccines and her spay surgery, potential adopters can start meeting her now. It’s important for her to experience positive interactions to help her overcome her fears. Her size makes her better suited for a home with older children, as she has shown herself to be good around kids. Introductions to other dogs or cats will need to be slow and careful, given Elsie's cautious nature. Elsie does not require someone looking for a perfect dog from the get-go; she needs someone who can support her through this adjustment period. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
