About Gunner

Meet Gunner, a charming canine who resembles a Disney sidekick with a loyal heart. At about 4 years old and weighing 34 pounds, he has spent several months at the shelter after successfully completing heartworm treatment. Gunner takes his time in deciding who earns a spot on his short list of approved humans. When you make that list, you’ll find he is funny, affectionate, and fiercely loyal. However, he isn't shy about making it clear when you're not on his radar. Gunner prefers a calm home where the comings and goings of strangers are minimal. He does get along with friendly dogs, but can be reactive on leash, especially if he spots a squirrel or another distractor. He’s looking for that special family who understands his unique quirks. With his sunny personality and slightly unreasonable amount of authority, Gunner is ready to find his forever home. Help us in this search for his people!
