She was discovered in Detroit, in quite poor condition. With severely matted fur and covered in fleas, she has faced significant challenges. Yet, through it all, her resilience shines. Candy is friendly with other dogs and shows no issues around cats. Her ideal home would likely have older, dog-savvy children, given her petite size and age. She possesses good house manners, is crate trained, and rides well in the car. Candy has been diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmur, but it doesn't slow her down and requires no treatment. She's up to date on her vaccinations, is dewormed, and has recently tested negative for heartworm. A dental cleaning, spay surgery, and mammary mass removal are scheduled to ensure her continued health. Despite her tough past, Candy is eager for a loving family to cherish her.
