At around 12 years old and weighing 16 pounds, Pongo is nothing short of delightful. He craves attention and is always ready for a good petting session. Despite being a senior, Pongo is filled with energy and loves to go on walks to explore the world around him. He’s been diagnosed with stage 2 renal failure, meaning he'll need a special diet, but it hasn't hindered his zest for life. Pongo enjoys playing with his toys, especially tennis balls, and shows excellent house manners; he sleeps soundly at night and is calm in the crate, preferring it with the door open. While he’s yet to be around other dogs or cats in his foster home, he has displayed no chasing behavior toward wildlife he encounters. He is cautious around men and will need time to build trust. Pongo thrives in quieter environments, so children in the home should be at least 13 years old. With a little patience, he could blossom in a loving home for his golden years.
