Meet Bertie, a 3-year-old Boston Terrier searching for a special home in Elkhorn, NE. Having come from a tough background with a breeder, she’s still learning what it means to be part of a family. Bertie weighs 16 pounds and has a short coat, adorned in a mix of white, cream, and chestnut hues. She’s shy and takes her time to bond, preferring gentle interactions. Sometimes, Bertie will take a treat or enjoys a scratch under her chin, but she's not yet comfortable with pick-ups. Playing with her foster sisters brings her joy, and she's eager for someone who understands her journey. Bertie needs a patient woman to adopt her; sudden movements make her nervous, and she works on being house-trained. Bertie does well with other dogs but hasn't been tested with cats. She’s unsure around strangers and would do best in a quiet, loving home where she can thrive. Please be prepared to invest time and love into helping her blossom.
