About Buddy
Buddy is a young Great Pyrenees, likely around 3 years old. He was rescued from a ditch where he had been suffering for days before a kind passerby brought him to safety. At that time, Buddy was severely emaciated and had a significant injury to his right hind leg. In his new foster home, Buddy has started to thrive. He weighs about 87 lbs now and may reach an ideal weight of around 95 lbs. His heartworm treatment will be completed soon, and he is expected to be heartworm-free afterward. Although Buddy has a leg injury that keeps his right hind leg in an elevated position, he gets around well and enjoys his newfound freedom. With regular exercise, his left leg has strengthened, helping him move easily, though he can’t manage stairs very well. Buddy adores spending time outdoors, and a secure fenced yard is essential for him, ideally with a doggy door to let him come and go freely. He's great with children but prefers female company, likely due to past experiences. An all-female household with a Great Pyrenees background would be his ideal match. He’s gentle, friendly, and ready to enjoy the love and attention he deserves. Buddy is fully vaccinated and ready for a new home.
