Chewbacca H, or Chewy as his friends call him, is an active and playful Cocker Spaniel mix. His solid black coat, accented with gray on his chest and tail, makes him quite the charming companion. Chewy adores toys and loves outdoor activities like runs and hikes. While he’s affectionate and friendly, he has some anxiety and fear-based reactions, especially toward unfamiliar men, so a calm environment is key for him. In his foster home, he’s shown he can thrive around both men and women, but he’s best suited for a home with children over 16, as he requires some space during play. Chewy is both crate-trained and house-trained, and he enjoys his cozy bed while his foster parent works from home. This little guy needs a fenced yard to play in and would do best with another dog of a similar size and energy level. He does display some resource guarding with toys, so supervision is important during play. Chewy knows basic commands and has a good recall; he’s eager for attention and loves to snuggle just as much as he loves playtime.
