Meet Slim: a gentle sweetheart on a journey to find his confidence. Slim is an intuitive German Shepherd who’s making great strides in his foster home. He may start off a bit shy, but he’s a devoted listener, always looking for guidance and comfort. His previous training shows—he already knows basic commands like sit and down, is crate-trained, and responds well to cues. This well-mannered boy has a friendly disposition and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s formed a close bond with his foster dad, often following him around the house. Slim is still settling in and regaining his strength, but he shows promising signs. During his vet checkup, he remained calm during the examination, only fixating on other dogs in a non-reactive way. Currently, Slim is working to improve his leash skills and could use more practice. He feels a bit nervous entering and exiting the car and can be cautious when meeting new people, especially in enclosed settings. Given time and positive experiences, he’ll build confidence. Slim is searching for a patient home where he can truly flourish. He thrives on guidance and would benefit from socialization walks and real-world experiences.
