About Jay
Jay is a handsome Cocker Spaniel looking for a loving forever home. He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who can be a bit timid initially, especially around men. Once he warms up, he loves nothing more than to snuggle in for some hugs, and maybe even rearranging a few of your socks! He follows you around the house like a shadow, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Jay is house-trained and crate-trained, walking well on a leash. He gets along nicely with other dogs and maintains good manners without being overly rambunctious. His energy level is currently low to moderate, though we expect him to become more active as he reaches a healthier weight. He’s eager to please, food-motivated, and takes treats gently. Though initially fearful of new experiences, Jay rides quietly in the car, enjoys cuddles, and tolerates grooming well. He requires regular coat maintenance and a healthy diet to assist in his weight loss journey. Additionally, daily eye medication is needed for one eye, but he is otherwise a healthy and happy boy, about 3 ½ years old. Being a sensitive pup, Jay thrives in a calm, patient environment where he can settle in at his own pace. In exchange, he offers loyalty and affection, yearning to be a part of a family.
