About Casper
Casper is a remarkable, approximately 5-year-old male cat with quite a backstory. He and his companion, a black cat named Oliver, were sadly abandoned by their owner at a cat colony. Left with collars and name tags, they faced a harsh reality, resulting in Oliver tragically losing his life. Fortunately, Casper has made it back indoors and is now ready to find his forever home. This gentle giant tips the scales at 15 pounds, being all lean and tall, so think BIG! Casper is a low-energy fellow who adores cuddling and being close to his humans. Residing in a home office bursting with things to explore, he's been nothing but calm and respectful, exhibiting a curious confidence around visitors and plenty of affection. Although Casper is affectionate and loving, the upheaval he experienced has understandably left him with some anxiety and overstimulation aggression. These behaviors are typical for cats who have gone through trauma, but after a month of settling in, he’s showing promising improvement. For this reason, we’re looking for an experienced cat owner who can provide the patience and understanding he needs to heal. Casper is not suited for homes with young children but may do well with other cats. His history suggests he could adapt well, as he's been sociable with both his previous housemate and the outdoor cats. Dogs are unknown. Every cat deserves a loving forever home, and Casper is ready for his fresh start!
