About Peanut
Meet Peanut! Born on June 18, 2026, Peanut entered the world after his pregnant mother ended up in a shelter. Thankfully, Highway Hounds came to the rescue, ensuring Peanut and his siblings enjoyed a loving foster home. His mother, a sweet 7-pound terrier mix, has already found her forever family, and now it’s Peanut’s turn! Weighing in at around 3 pounds, Peanut may be tiny, but he’s bursting with energy and personality. His curious and playful nature makes him a delight to be around. He adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. However, he also has an independent streak; he’s not shy about expressing his own opinions! Peanut isn’t neutered yet, so his new adopter will need to work with Highway Hounds to schedule this essential procedure, which the rescue will help facilitate. This adorable little guy is ready to find his forever home filled with puppy kisses and lots of fun. Could Peanut be your new best friend? The adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. Additionally, there’s a refundable $100 neuter deposit required at signing to ensure the procedure is completed, which will be returned upon proof of neutering. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
