Meet Floki! This one-year-old husky mix is eager to find his forever home and fall head over paws for the right person. Floki's journey started rocky; abandoned as a puppy and trapped in a shelter, he faced the heart-wrenching fate of being on the euthanasia list. Luckily, he caught a lifeline that brought him to a fresh start, and now he’s ready to share his love with someone special. Floki is friendly with everyone, but he forms a deep bond with one person, pouring out devotion. He craves affection, leaning into love like it’s oxygen. If you’re in need of a new best friend, Floki is your guy. He'll snuggle up as your little spoon and greet you with morning kisses. When he's missing you, he lets out the sweetest little howls, reminding you just how much he wants to be your companion. Contrary to typical husky energy, Floki is a low-key couch potato, walking nicely on a leash and fully house-trained. He’s trustworthy when left loose in the house but does not enjoy being crated. Floki loves squeaky toys and is very food motivated, showing a refined palate that includes blackberries, cucumbers, chicken, eggs, and a hint of coconut oil. He gets along well with other dogs and warms up to cats, provided they don't run away. Currently, he's flourishing in a home with adults, an elderly family member, a six-year-old girl, and other pets. While he’s embracing his teenage phase with a slight "me first" attitude, Floki ultimately just wants to belong. Foster-to-adopt is available. Floki's adoption fee is $500.
