About Hopper
Meet Hopper. Sometimes, a dog comes into your life, and you can’t help but marvel at their kindness, especially after everything they’ve endured. At just about 8 months old, Hopper has seen more than most dogs ever will. Found as a stray with serious injuries, he ended up in a cramped rural shelter where no rescue was stepping in to help him. But the shelter couldn’t let him suffer; they fundraised for the surgery he desperately needed, which ultimately led to amputation of one of his legs. Hopper recovered beautifully, quickly adapting to his new three-legged life. During his care, the shelter faced overcrowding, and despite all he had survived, Hopper was soon running out of options. They reached out to us in a state of urgency, sharing how gentle and special he was. We knew we had to help. Having met him, we can say wholeheartedly that Hopper is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever imagine. He carries no resentment, just a calm affection that makes him shine. He seems to adore everyone he meets, always eager to be close to you and soak up every ounce of love. Don’t underestimate him; despite having three legs, Hopper moves around impressively well, growing more confident each day. He doesn't see himself as different—just as a safe, loved pup whose life is improving. Hopper has already traveled a long road from being an injured stray to a shelter dog in need of an amputation.
