Weighing in at 53 pounds, Ollie is a medium-sized ball of enthusiasm with a huge love for being close to his people. He thrives on companionship, happily following you from room to room, snuggling on the couch, or stretching out for a well-earned nap. Playtime reveals his goofy side; he loves chasing tennis balls, chewing on Nylabones, and testing the durability of stuffed toys. Ollie is very friendly with other dogs and would enjoy a playful canine companion, though he could also thrive as the only dog with plenty of human attention. Due to his lack of experience with children, his compatibility with kids hasn’t been assessed yet, but he definitely needs a cat-free home. Ollie is house-trained and crate-trained, heading into his crate at bedtime when a treat is involved. He sleeps soundly through the night and is accustomed to daytime crate naps. With commands like sit, wait, and stay, Ollie is food-motivated which makes training a breeze! Currently, Ollie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He began heartworm treatment on August 15th and is expected to complete this by mid-November, during which he requires a calm environment. He is easy to medicate and comes with five months of Simparica Trio. Ollie needs a loving family that enjoys companionship and plenty of cuddles.
