Meet Jess! Jess is a lively young dog who found her way to safety after being rescued from behind a Costco. At only 8 months old and weighing 11.2 lbs, she's thriving in a nurturing foster home filled with kids and other dogs. Jess is spirited and playful, bursting with puppy energy. Her favorite activities include walks, playing fetch with balls, and having fun with her canine companions. She’s kennel trained and nearly fully house trained, though she has had the occasional accident, which is typical for her age. Each morning, she makes the cutest noises to let her foster family know it’s time for her potty break. While Jess can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with comfort and reassurance. She really comes to life once she feels at ease. Although she enjoys being around other dogs, Jess likes to be fed separately to savor her meals in peace. Sadly, Jess tested positive for heartworms at a young age, but she is currently undergoing treatment and doing well. Once she completes her treatment, Jess will be ready for a loving forever home. Despite everything she’s faced, Jess remains joyful and affectionate, and she is eagerly awaiting a family to give her the love she deserves. Jess is in Texas and is available for transport.
