About Misty

Misty is a lively 2-year-old Dalmatian/Catahoula mix, who weighs about 50 pounds of enthusiasm. She’s always ready for adventure, whether it’s a long walk, a car ride, or a spirited run. Misty thrives on being included in everything you do, and her affectionate nature means she loves joining you on the couch, expecting to be your lap dog despite her size. This playful girl gets along well with most dogs and enjoys her time in doggy daycare, where she can showcase her boundless energy. While she can handle some roughhousing, it's essential she meets other dogs that appreciate her exuberant play style. If a dog isn’t keen on her, she can be timid, so gentle introductions are best. At home, Misty is surprisingly well-mannered, often displaying an advanced knack for behaving beautifully when left alone. She does best in a secured yard, as her instincts kick in with smaller critters like squirrels and birds, so cat owners take note! Despite her spirited personality, Misty has faced a significant change recently as her beloved owner has entered memory care, leaving her not quite understanding why her world shifted. What she craves now is to find her new family, the companionship she’s missed, and to be somebody's dog again. Misty is ready for a life full of love and fun adventures. Bring your running shoes, car keys, and lots of room on your lap for this affectionate girl! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
