About Harvey Dent
Harvey Dent - The Gentleman Who Chose the Bright Side Once upon a time, there was a dog who'd seen too much and asked for nothing. He'd been through fire-figuratively, mercifully-but he carried the ashes in his eyes and the tenderness in his heart. They named him Harvey Dent, though unlike his namesake, there's nothing two-faced about him. His coin has already been flipped, and it landed firmly on good. At two years old and 41 pounds (give or take a few he's still earning back), Harvey is a study in quiet grace. His body bears the faded evidence of neglect-patches healing from demodex mange, ears a little tattered-but his spirit? Untouched. He greets the world like it's still worth trusting, still worth loving, still worth wagging for. He adores soft pajamas, gentle hands, and long naps where nothing hurts anymore. He moves through life without urgency-like someone who has finally found the luxury of safety. So far, he's been calm around other animals, even the cafe cat, whom he regards with polite curiosity, as though to say, "You and I both made it out, didn't we?" What Harvey needs now is a soft place to land-a home or foster where he can finish healing, grow strong, and learn that happy endings aren't just for storybooks. He's living proof that you can walk through the dark and still come out golden. Every coin has two sides. Harvey chose love. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
