About Darla
Meet Darla! This sweet girl has truly won our hearts. At around two years old, she weighs about 22 lbs and has a lovely corgi-like body, though she's a mixed breed. Darla was found months ago in a rural area, desperately caring for her puppies. After months of being seen in the area, she finally captured attention when she settled in to look after her little ones, who have all since found homes. Now, it’s her turn to find a forever family. Darla is gentle and affectionate, often pawing at you for more love, as if trying to make up for lost time. She's great with other dogs—playful yet mindful. Initially timid with new people and situations, she will flourish in a family that can help build her confidence. A home with another playful dog would be ideal, as it encourages her to come out of her shell. She enjoys sniffing around and playing in the yard, and she has a playful instinct—she'll chase every bunny she spots. Darla finds comfort in her crate, where she creates a cozy little den for herself when feeling overwhelmed. Fully house-trained and able to walk on a leash, she does have some anxiety around cars. While she’s okay with kids over 10, younger ones may be too overwhelming for her. Darla is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped, and she genuinely deserves the best home. Ready to meet her?
