This big boy is Hugo! Dont let his size fool you—hes just a baby! Hugo is a 6-month-old, 55 lb Cane Corso with some very big paws to grow into. Hugo is an adorable, smushy, sweet boy who has quickly adjusted to his foster home. He can be a little timid in new environments, but hes a trusting and willing boy. Stairs and doorways may look intimidating at first, but give him a couple tries and hes got it! In his foster home, hes working on building his confidence and learning that the world isnt such a scary place. Hugo was surrendered to a shelter before finding his way into rescue, so hes experienced a lot of change in a short amount of time. Hes still figuring out how to navigate all those changes, but every day, more of his goofy personality shines through. This boy LOVES being by your side. Whether hes following you around the yard or laying at your feet inside, Hugo just wants to be near his people. He loves deeply and is already forming such sweet bonds with his foster family. Hes also started playing with the other dogs in his foster home, and honestly... its hilarious. Hugo is still figuring out how all these legs are supposed to work. There are feet flying, drool slinging, adorable zoomies, and occasionally a wipeout when he misjudges a turn. Hes a growing boy learning how to use his giant puppy body! Hugo has shown no interest in the cats in his foster home so far and gets along well with the other dogs. Because of his size, gumpiness, and current lack of personal-space awareness, he would do best with older children. He is good in his crate, and working on leash and potty training. When Hugo wants attention, hell paw at your hand, and belly rubs are definitely a favorite. He especially adores his foster dad and has started attempting to give him hugs when he comes home. Hes quickly learning that if he wants those pets from him, sitting nicely is the way to get them! He absolutely loves the couch outside, and after play and potty time are over, jumps up and lays out. Hugo is truly already an amazing dog. Hes smart, willing to learn, eager to please, and absolutely beautiful. Even in his awkward, gangly puppy stage, you can already see the handsome Cane Corso hes growing into. Hugo is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on vaccines.
