Meet Dazzling Darla! Darla is a beautiful 3-year-old girl who is looking for a very special forever home. She is fully blind, but otherwise healthy. We aren’t sure how she lost her vision, but she doesn’t let it slow her down! She is also polydactyl, giving her some extra toes and even more personality. She is a very chill, low-energy girl who would love a quiet home where she can feel safe and comfortable. Food is definitely the way to her heart. She has been warming up wonderfully to her foster mom and is beginning to show more of her sweet personality. She is incredibly smart and has a great sense of what’s happening around her. She knows when you’re nearby and will let you know with her little noises, but she’s more of an excellent listener. Despite being blind, she is completely fearless when it comes to the vacuum cleaner! She has the most beautiful big eyes and a gentle spirit. She is still learning to trust and warm up to people, but once she feels safe, she has so much love to give. She needs someone who understands that earning her trust may take a little time and who has the patience to receive all the love she has waiting inside her. Her previous owner had to enter a nursing home that does not allow pets, so she is now looking for a new family to call her own. She would likely thrive as a companion in a calm, quiet home with someone who can give her patience, consistency, and lots of love. She has not yet been tested with other cats, dogs, or children. She may need a little extra time to find her way, but she is smart, sweet, brave, and absolutely deserving of someone willing to find their way into her heart.
