ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF, I’M KING. At three years old, I’ve got the stature for an NBA player and a personality that shines in the spotlight. Thankfully, I’m a Rottweiler, which means I get to enjoy being an amazing canine companion instead. When I first arrived at the rescue, I struggled with some selective hearing. I’ve since learned that when someone says, “King, come here,” it means I should come—most of the time. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a bit of independence? I’m a loyal and fun-loving guy who adores car rides. Just mention we’re going somewhere, and I’m ready before you are. Every drive feels like an adventure, and I’d be thrilled to be your constant co-pilot. On a leash, I’m great; I crate nicely and even know how to shake. I thrive on activity and love being a part of whatever is happening around me. While I might look like I should be on a throne, I’m just a goofy, affectionate dog who wants to hang out with my people. A few of my royal preferences: female dogs my size are ideal companions, given I get a proper introduction first. However, cats and small animals are off-limits for me due to my prey drive. Also, because I’m a big boy, it’s best if I’m around older kids or adults who can handle my strength. Let’s be honest: it’s hard not to notice me when I enter a room. With my height and big Rottweiler head, most people instantly see my goofy side. Spend time with me, and you’ll find a loyal sweetheart beneath my royal demeanor.
