We were contacted about several dogs living outdoors with very little shelter during days of torrential rain and severe storms. Thankfully, Joe is now safe, loved, and ready to find a forever home. Joe is an incredibly sweet, easygoing little guy who loves being close to his people. He loves all people, gets along well with other dogs, enjoys tagging along for car rides, and has a calm, affectionate personality that’s easy to fall in love with. He’s a wonderful house guest. Joe is house trained, crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and has shown no destructive behavior. He enjoys running zoomies in the yard, playing fetch, and squeaky toys, but settles down beautifully once he’s back inside. He is also incredibly smart. He’s already learned “sit,””wait,” “come” and does well on a leash. He does get very excited to see his people and tends to jump up on them, but his current foster is working with him on this. He’s eager to learn and responds well to positive guidance. Joe has also spent time calmly observing cats through a baby gate and may be able to live peacefully with a cat given a slow, proper introduction.
