Rolo came into rescue alongside his brother after being saved from a suspected abuse situation. He appears to be a dachshund mix, possibly with some husky. Just six months old and about 19.16 pounds, he's a small dog with a sturdy build. Rolo is shy and skittish, clearly affected by his past, potentially due to abuse or lack of socialization. While he growls and may fear bite if cornered, he responds positively to affection once he feels safe. He tends to feel more comfortable around women, possibly indicating a previous negative experience with men. Because of his fearful nature, Rolo is not recommended for homes with children or novice owners. He needs someone experienced in dog behavior who can patiently help him build confidence and trust. Rolo has shown he can get along well with other dogs, but it's unclear how he would behave around cats. He seems to be crate trained, although complete house training hasn’t been established yet, as he is still adjusting.
