Meet Paco, an adult neutered male small terrier/chi mix! He is about 8 yrs old and weighs 15 lbs. Paco arrived in CT on 8/22 and is settling in great with his foster! We are accepting applications for him now! His foster said, "Paco is a doll! He's the sweetest boy ever! He's chill in the car. He is totally house trained, goes to the door to go out. Paco is great on a leash. Likes to be with his people, and he's a cuddle bug! He loves to play with toys. Paco is good with dogs and cats." Paco is medically up to date and neutered. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
