River is five years old. He was brought to the LAP on August 25, 2026 from the SPCA of Pittsylvania County. He was rescued from a hoarding situation. Several of the dogs at the home had to be euthanized because of severe malnutrition. River doesn't have any grudges or anxiety issue. He fit right in at the shelter, ate his dinner and played with his buddy Cherry. He will make a great pet. River is only 18 pounds. He is heartworm negative and microchipped. A secure fenced yard is required.
