Meet Tofu, an adorable Shih Tzu mix who’s about 2 years old and ready for a new beginning. He arrived at our rescue from the shelter in rough shape, severely matted and in need of care. Despite his past, Tofu is becoming more comfortable with people, learning that kindness exists in the world. Tofu can be easily startled, especially if someone approaches too quickly, so he needs a patient, understanding home where he can build his confidence. Once he trusts you, he loves to cuddle and enjoys taking walks. He’s friendly with other dogs, making him a great addition to a household that values compassion and gentle guidance. While Tofu can be a little sassy at times, he has a protective side, especially towards his foster mom.
