Meet Maverick, a spirited 1-year-old mixed-breed boy from Georgia. He has a heart as big as his personality. While the details of how he came to the shelter and lost his leg remain a mystery, his lively spirit shines through. Maverick previously shared a home with a small dog and did great. His compatibility with larger dogs is still being assessed, and updates will follow. But be aware, he gets super excited when he sees cats and loves to play — a household with a dog-savvy cat or no cats would suit him best. This little adventurer is wonderful with children and zips around like he’s got four legs, running, jumping, and playing without a hint of hesitation. To support his joints, Maverick is on Dasuquin, a common supplement for tripod pups that keeps him feeling great. Maverick is a joyful and resilient boy looking for a family who will embrace his goofy energy and vibrant spirit. If you want a young dog who won’t let anything hold him back, Maverick can’t wait to meet you. Every animal is spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations, and each undergoes a behavioral assessment to ensure a good match for future homes.
