With every ounce of strength he had left, Brady dragged himself across a busy street and laid his broken body at the doors of a Dollar General — looking up at strangers, silently begging for help. That moment told us everything we needed to know: Brady wanted to live. Brady wanted to be loved. Brady wanted a chance. And we gave him one. Today, Brady is thriving at our sanctuary in South Carolina. He radiates joy. He greets every day with gratitude. He loves people, loves life, and loves every bit of kindness he’s given. His body may have been broken, but his heart has always been whole. But here’s the truth... Brady has never — not once in his entire life — known the love of a family. Brady is incontinent, and we know that makes things harder. We know it’s a commitment. We know it’s not for everyone. But we also know this: Brady is worth it. He has even surprised us by squatting to potty on his own on several occasions. He keeps trying. He keeps fighting. He keeps showing us that he is not giving up.
