Meet Cashew! Cashew is a 1 year old, 35 lb Boxer mix. He's got the biggest grin, ears up, tongue out, and he is always ready to make friends with anyone who walks by. He was dumped at a park and brought to the shelter. He's put some weight on since, filled out, and showed his goofball personality to his foster right away. Cashew will do anything for a treat, especially a pup cup!! He greeted a whole crowd of new people at a recent adoption event with a wagging tail and a wiggly body. He is extremely confident and loves his people. His favorite part of the day is going on walks, heading to the park with his foster and playing fetch and tug. Cashew is super smart!! He knows his commands already and tends to rush through them. He has had a few sessions with a trainer to work on slowing down and self-regulating as well as structured play. He is making amazing progress. He'd do best with a family ready to keep that training going. A good day for Cashew is a walk, some training, some play, and a long nap after. Crate trained, food motivated, and SO much personality packed into one goofy dog. Cashew is located in Houston, but pick-up or transport to Austin can be arranged.
